Michelle Adler, LCSW

Owner & Therapist, She/Her

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Austin, Texas. I completed my Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin in 2023. Before starting my journey as a therapist, my work included positions in inclusive youth camping, substance abuse prevention, and afterschool programming. During my education, I interned working with young adults with autism and ADHD, and with older adults both individually and as couples.

My work as a therapist began at LifeWorks as a counselor working with unhoused young adults across Austin. These clients taught me so much about resilience and the experience of living with Complex PTSD. Most recently, I have worked with Rural Psychiatry Associates as a telehealth therapist to individuals of all ages and couples living in remote areas in Alaska, Minnesota, and North Dakota. I have experience working with adults of varied backgrounds and perspectives, especially neurodivergent clients and LGBTQIA+ individuals living in unaffirming environments.

Many of my identities inform my lens as a therapist. As a queer woman and child of immigrants, I have a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community and folks who are grappling with identity and authenticity. I love working with folks who want to feel at home and at peace within their own bodies and minds. I am body positive and disability justice oriented.

In my free time, I enjoy spending as much time in water as possible, nurturing my (excessive number of) plants, travelling, and camping with my partner and our two dogs.
