“What is stronger than the human heart which shatters over and over and still lives?”

Individual Therapy

In our work together, I will hold a space where all feelings are welcome and received without judgment. My style infuses warmth, authenticity, and humor to invite you to bring your whole self to our time together. I bring a feminist lens that centers your experience within the context of society, culture, and the messages we get about who we “should” be. My approach brings in EMDR, Mindfulness, Grief Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Harm Reduction, and Attachment Theory.

I work with folks exploring gender and sexual orientation identities, navigating life transitions, and healing from past trauma and relational hurts. My work with neurodivergent folks and folks with disabilities integrates a disability justice perspective. Whether you are navigating coming out as a late bloomer, healing from divorce, finding your way through retirement, or grappling with a world that tells you “you don’t fit”, we can sit together with the big feelings and questions that change and uncertainty can bring.

Couples Therapy

I use a blend of Emotion-Focused Therapy and Gottman Method principles to support partners in rebuilding and repairing their connection. Through skill building that can help interrupt stuck patterns and increasing emotional attunement, partners can find a way through. Partners of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome at Campfire Therapy.

Our Specialties

People-First Approach

You are the expert in your own experience. No one knows what it’s like to be inside your head better than you. I center the innate knowledge of each client as key to building the road map of our work together.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR uses your brain’s natural capacity for healing to shift your relationship to past memories and traumas that are impacting your day-to-day life. I have experience using EMDR with neurotypical and neurodivergent folks, and folks healing from traumas big and small.

Collaboration

Building a safe and trusting relationship is the foundation of this work. I commit to transparency and open communication about setting goals for our work together and how we get there. This includes a commitment to cultural humility as an active practice to recognize our differences and how they show up in our space.
